So I've been occasionally reviewing for the Human Biology exam that I'll be taking tonight, after having missed 2 of the 3 units we're being tested over due to my self-diagnosed bout with mono.

Taking a Human Biology course qualifies me to self-diagnose, right? Not to mention the right to self-medicate?

Anyway, the answer is "enzymes" - enzymes that allow the spermatozoa to penetrate the membrane of the egg.
