A ton of stuff

Clearing out my "To Write/Read About" bookmarks folder in FireFox - some of these are for my own reference (I can be painfully obsessive about deleting bookmarks when the file gets too unwieldy), but most of them are of - at least limited - interest.

30-Second Bunnies movies archive: Exactly what it sounds like - 30-second flash movies of bunnies acting out well-known movies.

Human brain still evolving? Gene flow studies indicate as much.

Anthropology professor goes back to school - to study undergraduate college life.

Couch-to-5k Running Plan: I keep meaning to try this, but other things keep taking more precedence. And, uh, I'm lazy.

"Haaarg, world!" A dad helps his six-year-old write his first computer program. Results = adorable

Immanentize the Eschaton

Live air traffic control audio feeds.

An article on the dangers of "Gerin oil".

Never know when this will come in handy.

A biography of Rasputin.

Tiny Sepuku: Unique web comic.

A real rabbit curse.

What Einstein's most famouse equation means to the everyman.

"The Decline of Redemptive Truth and the Rise of a Literary Culture"

More debate, speculation, and evidence on Homo floresiensis.

Need this shirt.

Nothing will ever be the same

Tuesday morning at 3:17 am, my younger sister gave birth to Trenton, a squirmy 20", 7lb 4oz bundle of baby boy. They were released from the hospital Wednesday evening, and both are recovering from the 20 hour labor quite admirably.

TJ, as his parents have dubbed him (or "Squishy", as I've called him during his 42-week percolation time in utero) is an absolute joy. Though his greatest accomplishments thus far have been developing "the suck reflex of a champion" and the ability to fill several diapers in several hours, I'm sure he's going to amaze us all. He is positively awesome.
