Okay, I'm not dying
So what I thought was a heartattack is actually something called costochondritis, an inflammation of cartilage at the ends of the intercostal muscles, where they bind to the sternum. Apparently it makes up almost 30% of adult hospital visitors complaining of chest pain. What that means is that I'm again on prednisone. I'm also no longer taking antidepressant medication (initially prescribed for my fibromyalgia), and the only "maintenance" medication I'll be taking henceforth is Ambien, to help me sleep.
It feels like a real accomplishment to be at the point where the drugs aren't necessary to get me through the day. Three years ago I wouldn't have been able to face morning without my Ativan or Xanax in hand.
I like it a lot better this way.

Boo!
And a joke from *waaaay* back in my childhood...Why can't witches have babies?
Because warlocks have Halloweenies!
Come to think of it, that doesn't really make any sense...
